Parents Against Cancer (PAC) is dedicated to helping children with cancer or blood diseases and their families. Our board of directors and officers are parents who have experienced the terrible demands that a child's life-threatening illness can create. We operate on a very limited budget. Our funds come from parents, friends, and family of children who have conquered cancer or blood disease. Our funds provided only a minimal amount of help with the costs of such basics as medicine, food, utilities, housing, treatment-related transportation and, in some cases, funeral expenses to the neediest of families. Our only administrative costs are the printing and mailing of our tri-annual newsletter, our post office box and a telephone line. All other monies go directly to support children and families. No board member or officer receives or expects any compensation.

L.I.S.A Fund (Love, Inspiration, Support & Accomplishment)
The L.I.S.A. fund was established by Tommy Warner and Mary Ann Saiz, Lisa's parents. It provides funds through Parents Against Cancer, Inc. to aid families of children being treated for cancer and blood disorders. The L.I.S.A. fund provides emergency money for the most basic and vital necessities and services for a family in crisis. Some examples of costs L.I.S.A. has covered are refrigerators to keep medicine safe, telephone calls to the hospital, car repair bills to ensure transportation for treatments, utilities and heaters to keep homes warm, medicine and medical supplies not covered by insurance, and clothing. It is used to fulfill children's special wishes and much more. Support families in need by supporting the L.I.S.A. fund!

How Can I Help?
Often times, friends simply don't know how to help when faced with a sick child. They feel helpless. They want to do something, but they don't know what to do. So, the next time a friends ask, "What can I do?", you may suggest that they make a donation to PAC in your child's name.

Contribute to PAC through United Way
You may designate PAC as your choice to receive your contributions to United Way through your employer. Our United Way Agency Designation Code is 213973. Also, some employers may provide grants or matching funds for worthy local causes.

In Lieu Of Flowers
How often when a friend or family member dies do you see a request that "in lieu of flowers" a contribution may be made to a charity? Recently, PAC was the beneficiary of such a request. PAC received more than $1,000 in contributions which we will use to help children with cancer or blood disorders and their families. Also, from time to time PAC receives contributions made in memory of a child who has died, or in honor of a child who has survived a childhood cancer or blood disorder. There are many opportunities during the year to make a contribution to PAC. Remember:  large or small, each gift is fully tax deductible, and each gift goes to help a child!
